Blondes have more fun. People who wear blue to interviews are confident. That one kid with glasses has to be intelligent, you can just tell. Stereotypes surround us in this world, and many are truly ridiculous. However, some appear to be rooted in fact, just like these ten stereotypes about Clevelanders:
- We’re ride or die…

- …But we can be pretty dramatic at times.

- When you meet a Clevelander, they’re unforgettable.

- And, sometimes, we forget how to drive in the snow.
Tim/Flickr As snowfall coats the ground, we sometimes go unnecessarily slow, run red lights, or come to a complete and very awkward stop before a simple right turn. We’ve all done it at one point, and even if we don’t do it anymore, we know someone that forgets how to drive in the winter.

Cuyahoga Community College Website Pierogies are, oddly enough, a piece of Cleveland’s identity. We have an annual pierogi-themed race, and our city was once the birthplace of a ginormous 215.5 lbs pierogi. Many cities are unfamiliar with pierogies, but we can’t get enough of them in Cleveland.
- We adore nostalgic mementos and destinations.
A Christmas Story House/Facebook Clevelanders have a passion for nostalgia. For years, Big Fun Toy Store was the place to be, featuring all sorts of familiar toys from our childhood. We also love going Downtown at Christmastime, and we can’t help but love familiar famous sites throughout The Land.
- We make mistakes at times, but we learn from them.

However, Time Magazine released an issue in 1969 with an iconic image from one of the worst river fires in city history, and the whole nation took notice. It led to environmental reform, and the city has taken huge strides in pollution management.
