Lomato’s Pizza Facebook Lomato’s in Hays is probably the best classic pepperoni pizza that I’ve tasted in this area. Not only is it fresh and delicious, but they line up the pepperoni so you don’t have any pieces sliding off the side, and they’re all evenly spaced.

  1. Minsky’s Pizza - 934 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS

Tony Sutton/Google Minsky’s is a classic stop if you’re in Lawrence, and eating there is always a blast. They have regular pizza styles as well as both vegan and gluten free options, so no one is left out of the fun. Plus, they also display local artists’ work on the walls to give you a unique experience that’s all Lawrence.

  1. Coop’s Pizzeria - 123-B, S Santa Fe Ave., Salina, KS

Coop’s Pizzeria Facebook Coop’s is an amazing handmade pizza that I haven’t found anything like since. Don’t be afraid to come by if they’re a little busy, because the pizza is well worth a little wait.

  1. Back Alley Pizza - 125 W 6th St., Newton, KS

Back Alley Pizza Facebook

Back Alley Pizza Facebook Back Alley sounds like you might not want to eat any of their food, but I assure you, you’ll find that it refers to their patio and not their pizza. Speaking of the pizza, they serve both classic flavors as well as more modern combos that people have fallen in love with.

  1. Dave’s Pizza Oven - 100 N Central Ave., Coldwater, KS

Jim Stanford/Google Dave’s is a pizza place like you’d expect to see in movies. It’s charming, but doesn’t feel stuffy or fancy. Oh, and the food is amazing every time.

  1. Old Shawnee Pizza - 6000 Roger Rd., Shawnee, KS

Mike Moorhouse/Google Old Shawnee Pizza does things right, as far as I’m concerned. It feels like a pizza joint, looks like a pizza joint, and makes amazing pizza. That’s all we need to have a great time!

Papa Don’s Pizza Facebook

Papa Don’s Pizza Facebook Papa Don’s has some great eats, but have you ever tried the comforting taste of breakfast pizza?
