When it comes to drinking, most people think of Tennessee as the provider of all kinds of whiskeys, but there are quite a few wineries throughout the state that are starting to cause some major waves in the wine world. Amber Falls Winery And Cellars - Facebook The Natchez Trace famously runs from Nashville to Natchez, Mississippi, but many folks don’t know there are many good wineries in the hills just off the Trace. The Grinder’s Switch Winery, Keg Springs Winery, (pictured here), and the Natchez Hills Winery are all well worth pit stops as you drive along the scenic route.

The seven wineries (full list here) stretch from just outside of Memphis all the way to Paris and include the White Squirrel Winery, pictured here, and the highly decorated Old Millington Winery.

Great Valley Wine Trail - Facebook Back over to East Tennessee, the Great Valley Wine Trail snakes along through the foothills of the Smokies, making these wineries some of the most scenic in the state. Hillside Winery, Good Water Vineyards, Sprout Spring Estates, and The Winery at Seven Springs Farm make up the trail and are all within a one-hour drive of each other.

Rocky Top Wine Trail - Facebook Last but not least, the Rocky Top Wine Trail is comprised of five wineries all within 12 miles of each other in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. The trail includes Hillside Winery, Apple Barn Winery, Mountain Valley Winery, Mill Bridge Winery, and Sugarland Cellars, all within the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area.
