With the 4th of July holiday coming up, you might be wondering where you can find a show near you—or what the best shows in the state are. During the first week of July, all of Ohio will light up in celebration of our nation’s independence. The following are eight of our favorite Independence Day celebrations and fireworks displays happening in Ohio this year.

  1. Red, White & BOOM

Red, White & BOOM Columbus/Facebook The largest fireworks display in the state will take place on Tuesday, July 3. More than 400,000 people flock to downtown Columbus to watch this truly epic display, which will take place at 10 p.m. (Several events will take place throughout the day before the show as well.)

  1. The Cleveland Orchestra Star-Spangled Spectacular

The Cleveland Orchestra/Facebook The Cleveland Orchestra will feature “Star-Spangled Spectacular " on Friday, July 6 at Mall B in downtown Cleveland. The free concert begins at 9 p.m. with fireworks after. Food trucks will be onsite and pre-concert events will take place at 6 p.m.

  1. LaRosa’s Balloon Glow at Coney Island

Coney Island Amusement Park/Facebook At Coney Island Amusement Park, glowing hot air balloons fill the sky at 8 p.m. and Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks commence at 10 p.m. over Lake Como on July 3. It’s a magical experience you don’t want to miss.

  1. Dayton Lights in Flight

  1. Light Up the Point
