Louisiana Pirate Festival/Facebook This pirate-themed festival is perhaps one of the most unique in the state, and you don’t want to miss it. The festival takes place on both land and sea, including watercraft exhibitions, a boat parade, local arts and crafts, a petting zoo, and so much more. - Cochon De Lait Festival (May 10-13, 2018)
Cochon De Lait Festival Website The Cochon De Lait Festival returns for its 44th year on May 10-13, so get ready for a good time. Mansura is the Cochon de Lait capital of the world, so it’s only fitting that they host the celebration. - Rayne Frog Festival (May 10-12, 2018)
Rayne Frog Festival Website Held May 10-12, the festival is full of live music, food and drinks, carnival rides, and their signature events like frog racing, frog jumping, and even a frog cookout and frog-eating contest!
- Bayou Cajun Fest (May 11-13, 2018)

- Starks Mayhaw Festival (May 17-19, 2018)

Celebrating all things mayhaw, you can stock up on jams and jellies while you enjoy the carnival rides, kids games, car shows, and more. Mudbug Madness/Facebook What began as a two-day festival in 1984 has now become a four-day extravaganza and one of the largest and most popular Cajun festivals around. Featuring some of the best Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, and Jazz music performances, you’ll have a fabulous time dancing the day away as you feast on delicious Cajun cuisine.
