Pretty much every town is home to a handful of urban legends and creepy ghost stories. Whether they’re true or not, there’s something entertaining about the fact that these stories have been passed around in the community for years. The tale of this haunted playground is one of those local legends that seems too preposterous to be real. However, there may be some truth to this story. At first, Pocatello’s Ammon Park appears to be like any other typical city park. On a sunny Saturday, you’ll likely see the park swarming with families. However, legend has it this park is haunted so you might want to stick to visiting during daylight hours only.

The park may look innocent enough during the daytime, but at night it takes on a whole new personality. The park is regularly subjected to stake outs by local paranormal enthusiasts who are convinced the park is haunted. But what exactly is haunting it?

It’s believed that the playground is haunted by a little girl in a blue dress. She might’ve been murdered in the park years ago and that’s why she lingers. She has been sighted wandering around the swing sets at night but usually disappears upon being spotted.

A creepy image can be found online of two girls on the swing set at night. To the right of the girls in the background is what appears to be the figure of a small girl with long hair in a blue dress. The photo itself will definitely give you chills but whether or not it’s “real” is still up for debate. What do you think?

Whether the photo is real or not, it’s apparent there is something weird about this park. Another famous account tells the story of two boys who wandered into the park’s utility shed at night. The door slammed shut on them and locked by itself. When the boys were released by other kids in the park, it was noted that the door was locked from the outside.
