If you’re looking to experience the feel of the Wild West, there’s only one town to visit: Cody. This (slightly hokey) town is dedicated to preserving the western history the same way that Buffalo Bill Cody set out to do when he created his traveling Wild West show. Though Buffalo Bill is long dead, the town that bears his name carries on his legacy at the Irma Hotel.

The sprawling, ornate Irma Hotel is the gem of downtown Cody, Wyoming. It’s been standing since 1902 and is still a hotel and dining room.
