Today, you can tour the one of the abandoned batteries on the site and see what it looked like in the 1940s.

You’re also welcome to climb up to the top of the fire control and observation tower, where soldiers kept an eye on the seas. Their nights were certainly not as relaxing as camping at Cape Henlopen.
