And this year, we think that Chesapeake Bay Balloon & Wine Festival deserves a bit of attention, too. This annual event is located in a gorgeous rural area, with pretty views stretching as far as the eye can see. Mark your calendar!

There will be plenty of food vendors to keep your belly full. The festival takes place at Triple Creek Winery so there will be an abundance of local wine for the adults as well.

Children will love the Kid’s Zone, featuring face painting, a bounce house, rock climbing, and this colorful train ride.

And be sure to check out the Walk-About Balloon. It’s a partially inflated hot air balloon in which you can walk inside! It’s like parachute day in gym class all over again – but even better.

For a less intimidating excursion, tethered rides are also available. These rides are attached to the ground by rope, still allowing you to float up to 60 feet above the festival. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12.
