If you love to camp, then you’re certainly in the right place in Arizona! Cholla Campground’s 206 campsites (some with RV hookups) are available on a first-come, first-served basis. And while not all of them are lakeside, they are all shrouded in lush plantings, giving you some privacy you just don’t find at other campgrounds that don’t have the same kind of vegetation.

You’ll want to be sure to get here early to get the campsite of your dreams. Another fun fact about Cholla Campground is that it’s the largest fully solar-powered campground in the country.

A paved boat launch is nearby so you can get out on the water, if you choose. And the campground has playgrounds for the kiddos.

Cholla Campground and Recreation Site is located at 28079 AZ-188, Roosevelt, AZ 85545. There are 206 camp sites with shade ramadas, fire rings with grills, picnic tables, and water hydrants. Some sites are suitable for RVs and a dump station is available during certain hours on the weekends. No reservations are accepted, and this campground has a self-pay kiosk for check-in.
