So, try to keep an open mind when I tell you that some of the state’s best donuts can be found at a fried chicken restaurant in Tupelo. It may sound crazy, but read on before you pass any judgment.

This is Connie’s Chicken. In business since the 1970s, it’s located on Gloster Street in Tupelo.

Just as the name implies, the eatery specializes in fried chicken. But not just any fried chicken…

The fried chicken at Connie’s is constantly referred to as the best in Tupelo. And that probably has something to do with the fact that it’s always crispy and flavorful and never greasy.
