Taking place October 27, 2018 is a very unique Halloween-themed event that few people know exists. The Forest Park Casket Races are delightfully frightening sight to see, and you don’t want to miss them.

Teams can enter for $30 each and include five members: one who sits inside (known as the “ghost”) and four who guide the vehicle. At least three of the four teammates guiding the casket must be touching it at all times lest they face disqualification.

Officially starting at 11 a.m., Two rounds will take place at this creepy casket race. Those who make the top four fastest speeds qualify to compete for the trophies.

Contestants are awarded tombstone trophies for first, second, and third place, as well as “dead last” which goes to the casket that is the most quirky and silly.

The Zombie Pub Crawl takes place later that night beginning at 8 p.m. and lasting until midnight. The cost is $10 and participants are encouraged to dress up. Everyone who joins will receive a glow-in-the-dark mug, wrist band, and map. An after-party will be held at Doc Ryan’s right at midnight.
