Most people who head out for a hike aren’t seeking the most treacherous hike in America – which happens to be right here in Arizona. Nor are they in search of an effortless and leisurely stroll with little to no natural wonders at which to gawk. That leaves trails that are both beautiful and a bit challenging. Devil’s Bridge Trail fits neatly into that category. Take a look:

Devil’s Bridge Trail is a 1.8-mile adventure with an unusual feature for the payoff: a natural sandstone bridge (the largest in the area) upon which — if you’re up for the challenge of getting UP there — you can pose for the best photo of your life.

Devil’s Bridge Trail is located 12 miles west of Sedona. The trailhead is located off of Dry Creek Road. The trail is open year-round.
