There’s nothing like a swim in a freshwater creek on a hot summer day. Luckily, we have some gorgeous ones to choose from in the Sooner State and one of my favorites is Pennigton Creek in Tishomingo. It’s known for its cool running water that pours over a dam creating a small waterfall.

Pennington Creek Park is home to a beautiful secluded creek in the town of Tishomingo. You can find the park at 400 South Capitol Avenue.
