The Sooner State is full of places that are withering away and being overtaken by nature. From old barns to abandoned buildings to forgotten businesses, there are many fond memories fading away with these places. One spot that is slowly disappearing is the old Gandini’s Circus Camp in Edmond. It’s off-limits to the general public, but we found a collection of photographs that will take you inside the gates of this abandoned circus that is rumored to be haunted.
Take a look:
Tucked away off to the side of Kelly Ave. in downtown Edmond lies the remains of a once-popular circus — Gandini’s. It is located on private property, but you can still see it from the rusty gates, or better, from the pictures in this article.

Once you enter the gates, there’s a big field that looks pretty innocent. But continue on, and you’ll be shocked at everything tucked away in the trees and shrubs off the road.

Gandini’s Circus operated from the early 1900s until the mid 1930s. The circus toured to several states and stayed in Edmond in the winter months.

After the original Gandini’s closed, the remains were purchased and went onto become Clyde Bros. Circus and then Hagen Bros. Circus; however the original name “Gandinis” stuck with the property.

Both circuses used the property in Edmond in their off-months as a home for the animals, workers, and equipment.

It is still a mystery why everything was left abandoned. That’s part of the creepiness about the place… the lack of history about its demise.

The whole property has a very eerie feeling. There have been numerous reports of ghost sightings on the property. Many people think it’s haunted by past circus performers (including clowns) and animals.

It is creepy how many items were left behind. From animal cages to popcorn machines to drink cups, circus memorabilia can be found all over the property.
