Coming across this road at random would probably make the average person very questioning as to what it is and why it is, and it is one of those things everyone in North Dakota should do at least once. Mysterious as it may be to the unknowing, it actually has a heartwarming story and you might even say it’s enchanting!
Take a drive down this lonely stretch of road in western North Dakota and you will surely be enchanted by the mysterious yet fun sculptures that line it.

It’s known as the Enchanted Highway and is located on a road near Regent, North Dakota. It is a collection of the world’s largest scrap metal sculptures, all made by one man who set out to do one thing: stop small towns like Regent from dying out.

… to a gigantic, mysterious eye-like structure with geese flying across it called Geese In Flight. This one in particular has the Guinness World Record for the largest scrap metal sculpture in the entire world!

Other sculptures include fish galore and giant pheasants for the hunters and fishers out there. Photos do not do their size justice - they tower far above the prairie and wow and amaze just about everyone who passes.

Even these metal grasshoppers are much, much larger than life. Each sculpture has a pullout so you can park and see them up close, or even have a picnic in one of the many picnic shelters along the way.
