One of the best things about living in, and/or being from, the Tar Heel State is discovering new and exciting things about where we live. There are many spiritual places found within North Carolina, the Billy Graham Library and prayer garden in Charlotte is one of those places. But there are others, including a stunning Buddhist Temple and surrounding grounds hidden in plain sight in another large city in North Carolina.
The Van-Hahn Pagoda is home to the NC Buddhist Association and is also a fully operational temple for practicing Buddhists.

And what’s more: the grounds of this sacred place are open to the public every day from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The gardens are ornate with much to see and admire, as well as many places to achieve peaceful reflection.

And the temple is very large. The Buddhists here welcome anyone and everyone. And why wouldn’t you love it… there are smiling Buddhists everywhere you turn!

There are many celebrations that take place throughout the year, including Parent’s Day, Buddha’s Birthday and more.

The temple and grounds offer a quiet meditative setting, so quiet time should be observed when visiting. But that shouldn’t be hard to do, since it’s so beautiful and peaceful you’ll be awestruck by the very nature of Van-Hahn Pagoda.
