Unless you work in downtown Cincinnati or happen to frequent the area during the week, chances are you’re missing out on quite a few delicious lunch options. There are many small delis, restaurants, and diners that are only open at lunchtime, and one of the absolute favorites is Fred & Gari’s. Unless you know it’s there (or hear about the wonderful food they serve up inside), you would probably just walk on by. But, that would be a big mistake because this unassuming deli may just become your new favorite lunch spot in Cincinnati.
Fred & Gari’s is located on Vine Street in downtown Cincinnati, right between 6th and 7th Streets. It’s not far from Fountain Square and is easy to walk to from many businesses downtown.

The eatery first opened in 1987 and has been pleasing Cincinnatians at lunchtime for over 30 years now. What began as a pizza joint has expanded into a carry-out and catering destination that’s immensely popular with the midday crowd. However, if you’re not frequently downtown in the middle of a weekday, you may not even know this scrumptious place exists.
