The Old Line State isn’t exactly known for clear water but you’ll be surprised to find that it exists at the following spot. The next hot summer day you have a free, consider a trip to Greenbrier State Park. Soak in the sun, the fun, and the natural beauty.

This summer, head to Washington County to find Greenbrier State Park.

Flickr / dpbirds It’s located in Boonsboro, right off of Route 40.

Not only are the surrounding sights gorgeously scenic, but on most days, the water is crystal clear.

Interested in visiting? Be sure to arrive early, as there can often be a line to get into the park – especially during weekend mornings.

TripAdvisor / teresa3000 For less crowds, consider visiting during a week day. The earlier the better, so that you can also have first dibs on a spot on the sandy beach.
