Welcome to Hans & Franz Biergarten, a home away from home. If you were going to build your own backyard biergarten (and who wouldn’t want one?!), this is exactly how you’d want yours to look and feel.
The indoor and the outdoor spaces at Hans & Franz Biergarten took more than two years to complete. (It’s been open for approximately five years).

The reason the construction took so long is the whole place is a renovated 1800s structure that was part of a textile mill complex just outside of Greenville.

Extensive and careful renovations were completed on the inside, and then the outdoor space (now the biergarten) was added out back.

Of course, come to check out the cool digs, but also come hungry! The food here is as authentic to Germany as is the beer! (But you’ll also find favorite American fare as well, like burgers and seafood.)
