It’s not every day that we visit a charming cafe that serves up mouthwatering coffee and food in a setting that is as unique as it is serene. So, when I stopped by this cafe a few weeks ago while hanging out on Maui for a few days, I just knew I had to share it with you.
In the quaint, artistic surfing town of Paia, sits a relaxed coffee shop serves up heavenly coffee drinks and delicious breakfast, lunch, and happy hour favorites in a hip, eclectic atmosphere with garden seating. This is Paia Bay Coffee & Bar, and it’s an absolute gem.
Located off Maui’s famous Road to Hana, you would assume Paia Bay Coffee is easy to find, but that’s not the case. You’ll see a sign for Paia Bay Coffee from the road, but the entrance is tucked into an alleyway. Nevertheless, the hassle is worth it once you enter this tropical garden paradise.

Once you step inside, you’ll notice the lush, verdant greenery, magnificent smell of coffee, and relaxing island-inspired music.

There’s no better way to start your morning in Paia than with a jolt of caffeine. Paia Bay Coffee serves up amazing coffee and espresso drinks as well as one of the best dirty chai lattes around — chai tea with a shot of espresso, anyone?
