Former NASA astronaut Frederick Hauck says to use a checklist, saying that no matter what endeavors you’re taking, they’re always executed at their best when a checklist is involved.
American Engineer Charles Walker, who has flown on several Space Shuttle missions, chose to share his own advice, stating that you should always think long and hard about what you need for your trip as opposed to packing the things you want.
Former Director of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center, Jay Honeycutt shared that his advice would be to travel solo if you’re able and willing. Honeycutt stated that solo travel has a variety of perks, allowing you to have more interactions with people in your surroundings.
NASA astronaut Nicole Stott shared that packing lightly is always a key travel tip to take into account. When it comes down to it, you’ll be surprised at how much you actually don’t need while traveling - simply stick to the essentials!
