South Carolina’s only scenic passenger train is once again hosting BBQ dinner trains this summer – and it’s never too early to get your tickets, since these special dinner trains sell out quickly. The train, pulled by a diesel locomotive, is located at the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winnsboro, where you’ll not only get to ride in a historic train, you’ll get to tour the museum and many historic cars in its collection.

The BBQ dinner features two kinds of BBQ and all of the traditional fixings.

Once aboard the train you’ll enjoy a picturesque ride through the countryside venturing past some old-timey locations, some farms, and through a piney forest.

For the best views and a cool evening breeze, sit in the train’s open air car on the return trip.
