Though you can start at either end - those coming from the northern portion of the state may find it easiest to begin with Bluespring Caverns Park in Bedford.

Guests take a one-hour boat through these dark caverns where blind fish and bats live. This natural wonder is one of the most unique attractions in the whole state.

During the season, it is typically open from 9 a.m. until 4 or 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $18 while children between ages 3 and 15 may enter for just $10. The second spot you’ll head to is Marengo Cave in the town of Marengo.

In addition to walking tours, guests can also participate in gemstone mining, canoeing adventures, cave explorations, and more. The longest trail takes about an hour to complete.

Facebook/Indiana Caverns This wonderful place in Corydon offers walking tours with a boat ride, gemstone mining, historic wonders, and much more.

Each tour lasts an hour and a half. Visitors travel 110 feet underground to marvel at waterfalls, gigantic boulders, and fossils of ancient species.

Squire Boone Caverns, the final cave on this trail is lesser-known, but perhaps more amazing than any other.

Facebook/Squire Boone Caverns It features rushing streams, waterfalls, bridges, and a 73-step spiral staircase.

Visitors walk less than a half mile through a cool natural ecosystem that exists underground. There’s also a rock shop and a restored mill from the 1800s to educate and entertain.
