New Jersey has so many amazing restaurants and I absolutely want to dine at every single one. I’m not sure that would be the best thing for my budget or my belly, but I have to start somewhere. Where better than an amazing eatery with an even more amazing courtyard? This restaurant is an urban oasis and you won’t want to miss it.

Rebecca’s serves up fine Cuban and Caribbean cuisine in an upscale, intimate space. It doesn’t look fancy from the outside…

But the inside is quite lovely. Romance is in the air, but not so much so that it wouldn’t be a perfect pick for dinner out with friends.

Or dinner with anyone, really…customers seem to love it. So do the critics - the New York Times called it one of the best experiences in Edgewater.

The menu offers everything from ropa vieja to churrasco, empanadas to quesadillas, and Jamaican jerk chicken to mango mustard glazed salmon.

The desserts are equally as incredible. The key lime pie, bread pudding, espresso creme brulee, and guava & cheese empanada are all fantastic…the flan can’t be missed!

However, what you just might fall in love with most is the courtyard.

It gives off grotto vibes and is gorgeous both in the day and at night.

Enjoy lush greenery in the summer months, when the glass enclosure (fully heated!) comes off. Ahhhh…fresh air.

If you’re not completely convinced yet, it’s also BYOB! Bring a bottle of wine and dine the night away with those you care about. The restaurant is also available for events! Choose from the courtyard, main dining area, or a special romantic hideaway that can host up to 12 guests. You can find Rebecca’s at 236 Old River Road, Edgewater, New Jersey. It is open from Tuesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner. For more spectacular outdoor dining experiences, check out this list.
