Taking place Saturday, September 15, 2018, the LaPorte Sunflower Fair is an annual event that has been going on since 1998. It features a plethora of activities and entertainment for locals of all ages.

The main draw is the carnival with all its rides, games, food, and craft vendors. In total, more than 100 booths will be available for you to enjoy.

Other activities include a 5K run, a sunflower contest, a scarecrow building competition, a kid’s coloring contest, a farmer’s market, and an art walk. You’ll definitely spend plenty of time on your feet at this fair.

Guests even enjoy live entertainment. Bands play on a volunteer basis, so you’ll likely hear some of the area’s best local sounds. Catch them throughout the day.

There will also be a car show as well as a rib cook-off that finishes off the day. Though this is a sunflower festival, many of the attractions are exactly what you’d expect to find at any good county fair.

This will be the 20th anniversary of the LaPorte Sunflower Fair. Activities begin around 8 a.m. and end at about 4 p.m. Stop by with your friends or family for a full day of food, flowers, and fun.
