Mississippi has no shortage of great restaurants, but sometimes the best food can be found in unassuming little restaurants far from the beaten path. We love discovering hidden gems, and this restaurant in the northeast corner of the state is well worth visiting.
Iuka is a little town with only about 3,000 residents. It’s a quiet, peaceful place that was settled in the mid-1800s.

You’ll find Iuka in the far northeast corner of Mississippi, and once you find the town, you’ll find one of the best BBQ restaurants ever.
Lil Smokies is located at 1209 W Quitman St., Iuka, MS 38852. It’s a favorite with locals, but most other Mississippians don’t know about this little gem.
