The Lincoln New Salem Historic Site is a reconstruction of the village of New Salem where Abraham Lincoln lived for about six years. This living museum immerses guests in the 1800s by teaching them how people survived during Lincoln’s time.

Your tour can begin as early as 7 p.m. with guests being asked to depart at 9 p.m. each night. It is free and open to the public as are all the fun festivities that take place here throughout the year.
