We have featured many great hole-in-the-wall restaurants over the years. Hopefully, you’ve visited a few of them by now, but If you still haven’t taken the time to visit one of our favorites – Meers Store & Restaurant in southern Oklahoma, you’ve been missing out on trying one of the best burgers in the state. Don’t let the outside fool you, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the food that is served at this unassuming restaurant.

Meers Store and Restaurant is located just outside of Lawton in the small town of Meers at 26005 State Highway 115.

The outside looks like a hole-in-the-wall and many people have probably passed by it thinking there’s not much to it. But little did they know, a world famous burger was waiting inside!

The interior is a bit cozier than the outside, boasting a rustic charm with plenty of interesting local decor on the walls. This historic restaurant has been serving travelers since 1901 and you’ll soon see why.

So what makes these world famous burgers so good? For starters, they are made with 97% lean grass fed Longhorn beef from their own Longhorn herd.

They have been serving their burgers the same way for over 50 years -with American cheese, mustard, dill pickles, tomatoes, purple onions, and green leaf lettuce. And the flavoring is to die for!
