Motor vehicles are prohibited on the rail trail. However, you can walk, hike, or bike along the trail that’s predominately made from crushed limestone.

Of course, the trail features numerous trailheads and access points, including Montour Run Road, Enlow, and Cecil Park.

But, of course, the highlight of this tunnel trail is the three tunnels along the route: The Enlow Tunnel, the National Tunnel, and the Greer Tunnel.

Stroll through Enlow Tunnel, in Findley, which stretches more than 500 feet. Even better than the lights in the tunnel to lead the way? Well, the Enlow is always damp, which keeps it cool even in the summer.

Then, explore the National Tunnel, sat at Mile 25. Like the Enlow Tunnel, the 600-foot National Tunnel is lit to make it safer for traveling through.

Finally, find the Greer Tunnel midway between miles 28 and 29. Built in 1913, the Greer Tunnel is quite a bit shorter at only 235 feet.
