Get ready for adventure —and a bit of a challenge — when you embark on the 7.7-mile Moss-Hanne Trail in Black Moshannon State Park.

But, be forewarned, you’ll be passing through wetlands and bogs, which means your feet are likely to get wet. So, wear waterproof shoes or boots, if possible.

Pass over two boardwalks along the trail that meanders through the Black Moshannon Bog Natural Area.

And, from mid-June through mid-August, look for the blueberry patches, and pluck them for a refreshing treat.

Keep an eye out for the wildlife that resides in the bog and wetlands. Salamanders, frogs, and beavers all call the area home.
