Fall is so close we can almost taste it! This is an amazing time of year in Nevada because this means the sweltering temperatures of summer have passed and we get to explore the outdoors all we want! Well, mostly. On top of the ideal weather, our state’s foliage erupts with an incredible display of amazing fall colors. Brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow take over some of our favorite landscapes. It’s a sight that is just too beautiful to resist. Our fall foliage is expected to be just as bright as ever so you’ll definitely want to plan an outing to go see it. This will take some planning so keep reading to learn about the best time to view our state’s fall colors.
Fall is an amazing time to be in Nevada. It’s during this season that nature puts on a spectacular show for us and you don’t want to miss it. This year’s fall colors are predicted to be as lovely as ever so plan the perfect autumn adventure with this wonderful interactive map by Smoky Mountains.

The 2018 Fall Foliage Map shows precisely when and where fall colors will be at their peak throughout the nation. It’s a great tool for planning the perfect time to see Nevada’s foliage.

As you can see from the map below, Nevada’s foliage won’t be at its “peak” until late October. You can see that during the week of October 22nd, eastern Nevada is at “near peak” and the rest of the state is at “partial peak”.

The best time to view the fall foliage will be sometime in between late October and early November. It’s during the week of November 5th that you can expect the majority of the state’s foliage to be at absolute peak. Keep in mind that by this time eastern Nevada will be “past peak”.

There’s nothing like the sight of vibrant, warm hues taking over our natural landscapes. By November 12th, it’s expected that the entire state will be past peak so be sure to plan your fall outing for before then.
