Who doesn’t love a great deal? While you can always find items on sale at your local big box store, there’s one store in Utah that carries close-out items at bargain basement prices. The catch? You have to keep visiting again and again, because the merchandise is always changing.
NPS Store (National Product Sales, Inc.), has been offering up the strangest combination of products in one big warehouse since 1968. They specialize in close-out, damaged, and overstock merchandise, and you never know what you’ll find there.
NPS Store The store is located at 1600 S. 1825 W., Salt Lake City, UT 84104.

…and a bunch of huge nuts and bolts? You might find all of these things right here at NPS. Then again, you might not. The selection literally changes every single day.

This huge warehouse store is a grocery/pharmacy/clothing store/hardware store/office supply store/household items store all in one (well, actually TWO) huge warehouses.

The store has fresh produce and tons of canned, frozen, and dry goods. Some of the items are new, and just like you’d find at your local grocery store. Others are close to expired. Check the freezer case for good deals on meat and other food that was frozen before its expiration date.

You’ll find an interesting selection of clothing every time you visit. You might see a $500 designer dress right next to $2 T-shirts.

Need a new pair of shoes to match that new outfit you just found across the aisle? You might find it here. Then again, you might not. NPS is not the kind of store that you visit to find something specific.

The store has tons of random things on every aisle! You’ll find toys, electronics, and office supplies here, too.

Pop over to the other warehouse (the NPS Industrial Store) to find all kinds of furniture, hardware, and tools. The Industrial Store is just as random as the other store. Need some bulk metal? You might be in luck today!

How about a huge lot of springs? Much of what you see at NPS isn’t anything you need (or even want), but it’s all fascinating. And when you stumble onto something that you DO need or want, you might be paying pennies on the dollar for it.

There’s a definite art to shopping at NPS Store. Some of the items are dirt cheap - others are the priced the same as your local store, or even higher. But if you have a good sense of what items are typically priced, you can find some killer deals.
