Most people headed out of the canyon have already passed quite a few overlooks and may, by default, just pass this one right on by since it’s not a pull off on the edge of the road.

Oak Creek Vista Overlook is located on AZ-89A, halfway between Sedona and Flagstaff, Arizona. It’s open 365 days a year from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Native American vendor booths may not always be present. Be advised, there are restroom facilities at the overlook, but they are porta potty type even though they’re in buildings. Get more information from the official website of the U.S. Forest Service. (Note, this page of the Forest Service website currently states the overlook was closed in October for paving. The overlook is open now and the site just needs updating.)
