This hike in Las Cruces will challenge you just enough that the payoff will feel incredible. When you reach the top, you’ll find amazing panoramic views of our beautiful state.

Welcome to Pine Tree Trail!

Just outside of Las Cruces you’ll find this 4-mile loop trail in Aguirre Springs National Recreation Area.

This hike should take around 3 hours, so make sure to pack water. If you’re heading out in the early morning, there won’t be much shade.

During this hike, you’ll gain just over 1,000 feet in elevation. Though this trail is classified as a moderate difficulty, some areas are strenuous.
