Royal Oak Farm Orchard is located about as far north in McHenry County, Illinois as you can go before hitting Wisconsin. Family owned, this farm has been in business since 1992 and opened to the public in 1997.

This U-pick apple orchard is a bit unique. Guests pay for the experience and receive a bag to fill for one price. The cost is $13 for adults and $7 for seniors and children between the ages of 4 and 18. Children under the age of 3 are admitted for free but do not receive a bag for apples.

The price includes a wagon ride out to the 120-acre orchard. Guests are not allowed to bring their own containers. For those who want to pick even more apples, a 10-12 pound bag is available for $21.

This incredible farm is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours change to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily November 1-12, 2018.
