Once all of the summer tourists leave the small towns surrounding the shores of Lake George, you’ll find that things get much quieter up this way as winter takes over. Some hotels, shops, and restaurants may close come the fall, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t plenty of ways to stay busy up in the Adirondack Mountains during the off-season. Transforming a favorite resort into something even cooler, see why you’ll want to set aside a weekend to grab a drink from New York’s massive ice bar.

Travel up along Route 9 and before you know it you’ll start seeing signs for The Sagamore Resort - located on its own island on Lake George.
