The list of must-visit sites in small town Mississippi just got a bit longer, and that’s because the Napiers – stars of HGTV’s Home Town – recently opened a general store in Laurel, MS. Stop by the store to stock up on groceries and sweets, peruse the clothing, or watch as creations are brought to life in the on-site woodshop. The charming store is definitely bucket list worthy. The Napiers don’t just live and film in Laurel, though. They also run the recently opened Scotsman General Store and Woodshop.

Dubbed an “eclectic general store” by Southern Living, the road-trip-worthy shop carries a variety of staples. The shelves are stocked with everything from groceries to home maintenance supplies.

But that’s not all – there’s also a confectionary, where you can grab some Mississippi-made gelato, candy, and glass bottle sodas.

There’s much more to do at the store than shop, though. From inside the store, you can get a glimpse into the workshop and watch as furniture is made. Need to sit for a spell? Kick back and relax in one of the store’s rocking chairs.

A checkerboard is also set-up for customer use and is a great way to keep kids (and kids at heart) entertained.
