In the year 2018, it seems like almost all major airlines offer modern services like in-flight Wi-Fi, but there are still quite a few smaller companies that will keep you unplugged while you’re in the sky. Coming soon, the seventh largest commercial airline in America will be offering Wi-Fi on all of its carriers.
Spirit Airlines will be the first ultra-low-cost American carrier to feature Wi-Fi on all of their aircraft. The airline will take a step ahead of its competitors like Allegiant and Frontier that aren’t equipped with Wi-Fi. Headquartered in Florida, Spirit will begin rolling out planes with Wi-Fi this fall, with the intention to have their entire fleet supplied with Wi-Fi by the end of 2019.

Wi-Fi will be offered at an average cost of $6.50, with Spirit passengers having the ability to choose different speeds and whether or not they want to pay for high-speed services at a slightly higher price.
The recent upgrade to Spirit Airlines is part of the company’s most recent strategy called “Invest in the Guest”. The airline company has announced that they are trying to focus more of their energy on customer satisfaction, with one of the first steps being the addition of Wi-Fi to their fleet to improve passenger’s in-flight experience.
