The Springdale Mausoleum was originally only open for relatives while the public could enter on Memorial Day. Now, though, the Peoria Historical Society is teaming up with the cemetery to offer more mausoleum tours throughout the year.

Built in 1929, this massive mausoleum is made of marble, granite, bronze, and glass. It has stained glass windows, and the inside features Gothic chandeliers and a solemn aura.

Springdale Cemetery is vast. It is also home to a pet cemetery, a war memorial, and many other unique sights. There are also several local historical figures like William Hale, Thomas Ford, as well as many attorneys and historians buried here.
