New Jersey offers an abundance of Christmas attractions. You can enjoy an old-fashioned celebration in Cape May or a very modern holiday-themed laser light show at the Liberty Science Center…and that’s only just the start. One of my favorite traditions is to see as many Christmas lights in the Garden State as I can. My family likes to drive around and see all the local displays and magnificent productions put on by businesses like Jody’s Silk Florist (and their famous Ice Caverns) in Fairfield. Each and every display has been absolutely magical but one stands out for its fairytale theme.
Storybook Land has been a Garden State favorite since 1955.
Facebook/Storybook Land The 20-acre park was inspired by fairy tales including Mother Goose and The Three Little Pigs. You’ll find delightful storybook scenes scattered throughout the park.
You’ll also find rides and games that children will love.
Facebook/Storybook Land Everything is designed with kids in mind, from the Beanstalk Bounce to Bubbles the Coaster. Though, even adults will appreciate the glowing artwork found inside the Alice in Wonderland display. Fall into the rabbit hole! Everyone can enjoy the costumed characters.
But the park becomes even more enchanting at Christmastime.
Facebook/Storybook Land Santa comes to visit at 5 p.m. each day (until December 23rd) and gives a little wave…a magical wave that makes the park come alive with color.
All of the over one million lights flicker on!
Facebook/Storybook Land From spectacular trees to lighted displays with fairytale themes, everyone is sure to be mesmerized. In addition, all the rides and attractions are open. If you bring a toy for tots on select days (your last chance is 12/23), you’ll score a free hot chocolate and popcorn.
This park has transformed into a winter wonderland for over 25 years!

Grab some grub at the Gingerbread House, which is even more enchanting when covered with a coating of snow.
