North Dakota is known for its vast plains, river valleys, and rugged canyons of the badlands. What it isn’t so known for is towering mountains, but that’s not to say there aren’t any. If you’re looking for a place with a fantastic viewpoint that’ll make you feel like you’re on top of the world with just a short, easy hike, then this is the very spot for you:

Sullys Hill National Game Preserve is a beautiful park located near Devils Lake, North Dakota.

Mark Goebel/Flickr The preserve includes 1,674 acres of preserved land right along the shores of the lake, mostly wooded area that supports an entire ecosystem of plants and animals.

The preserve includes a trail that will take you to a vantage point like no other.
