Mount Rainier became our country’s fifth national park in 1899. Since then, it’s welcomed millions of visitors, many of which prefer to explore the area by car. And one of the best ways to take in the scenery is by taking a cruise down the Chinook Scenic Byway.

The Chinook Scenic Byway travels through the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and Mount Rainier National Park.

Obviously, this isn’t a drive you’ll want to rush through.

Of course, if you don’t want to deal with snow, you may want to go fairly soon.
