Starting in December, families can visit Greater Nevada Field in Reno and be transported to Santa’s village. WinterFest is an annual event that is perfect for creating sweet family memories during the holiday season and you don’t want to miss it.

WinterFest’s most prominent feature is The Holiday Express; a magical train ride which takes passengers on a custom narrated journey around the inside of the stadium. You’ll eventually arrive at the North Pole where you can get out and explore Santa’s village.

Train tickets can be purchased inside the Team Store and both adults and children can ride the train. The ride lasts approximately ten minutes and boards inside of the stadium along the concourse.

Once you arrive at Santa’s village, you can visit Santa himself and share your wish list. Photo packages are offered starting at $15 and they are printed out for you on-site so you can take them home right away.

Even your fur children are welcome to sit on Santa’s lap and get a quick picture with him. WinterFest is truly good ol’ holiday fun that everybody can enjoy.

Afterwards, enjoy some time on Reno-Sparks’ only outdoor ice rink. This magical ice rink is open throughout the holiday season and will make you feel like you’ve been transported to a winter wonderland.

In the past, WinterFest has run through the month of December on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while the ice rink has remained open throughout the week. They are expected to announce their times and dates for this year soon, so visit their website for any updates.
