Cincinnati is a bustling urban area, but just outside the city limits, you can find many local farms that continue to thrive. These are family-owned properties that often welcome you to their farms to check things out and purchase directly from the farmers themselves. Located just minutes from downtown in Erlanger, Kentucky, Tewes Farm is the only fresh poultry producer in our area and this family-owned turkey farm has everything you need for the holidays.
Tewes Farm began as a chicken farm in Edgewood, Kentucky and eventually moved to Erlanger in 1944. You may recognize this building, as you can see it from the highway in Northern Kentucky.

The large Tewes family continues to run the farm today and they raise turkeys, chickens, and sell a number of other items. You may be curious about this farm that’s located in the middle of a rather populated area of the Tristate.

Tewes turkeys are free-range, meaning they are free to roam the property without a cage. They are fed a cornmeal mash with no hormones, and you purchase them fresh (VERY fresh) directly from the farm.
