Opened in 1987, The Midland Railway Historical Association has been hosting short train rides around the area for years to help keep the knowledge and love of trains alive.
Midland Railway Facebook It was originally constructed in 1867 by the Leavenworth, Lawrence & Fort Gibson Railroad. Ever since it lost use, it’s been taking happy passengers from Baldwin City to Ottawa Junction.

Regular train rides (including our favorite Sunday trip) are scheduled from May 3rd to October 28th. Then, in the winter, they have Polar Express rides running from November 17th to December 30th.
