Get out the atlas and start planning – road trip season is nearly here. Be sure to mark all the stops where you can enjoy the best food (i.e., the best pie, the best pizza, the best burgers in the country), and appreciate the historical significance those little towns and byways have.
While you’re out there, don’t breeze by the roadside attractions. Wyoming is filled with such draws as gun museums, tin man cowboys, and jackalopes. Somewhere along the way, set your GPS for the tiny town of Afton. It’s the spot that boasts the best roadside attraction in the state.
Over on the west side of Wyoming, you’ll find an enchanting little valley surrounded by forest-dotted mountains.

Over 3,000 elk antlers were woven together to form the arch, and there are two smaller arches flanking it on either side of the four-lane road it spans.
