One of our favorite beaches is hiding in a small coastal town, where the beautiful waves of Lake Erie crash ashore and the sunsets have never been more captivating. Nickel Plate Beach in Huron, Ohio is a hidden gem to passerby and a beloved secret among locals. From the amenities to the views, this is one little beach that will steal your heart. Take a look:
Tucked away behind several cottages you’ll find Nickel Plate Beach in the small coastal town of Huron.

It’s a gorgeous Lake Erie beach that simply doesn’t get enough attention. (And locals would probably like to keep it that way.)

In addition to some beach volleyball nets, you’ll find some playground equipment for the little ones.

In the distance, you’ll spot the Huron Harbor Lighthouse, which you can see up close if you choose. It’s a short drive away and makes for a beautiful walk.
