Mississippi is no stranger to gas stations that serve great food. But did you know the state’s also home to a gas station that’s been transformed into an incredible restaurant? Known as the Fillin’ Station, the one-of-a-kind eatery boasts an incredible fare with an atmosphere to match. Take a look:

The Fillin’ Station is located in downtown Biloxi on Howard Avenue. Just as the name implies, it started off as a gas station – the Standard Oil Station - when it first opened in the 1920s.

Locals have long been a fan of the eatery and its tasty fare. And it hasn’t taken long for national publications to take notice, including CNN, which recently named the Fillin’ Station one of “7 Chic Restaurants Housed in Former Gas Stations.”

Burgers, sandwiches, and seafood also make up a portion of the menu. The Main Street Burger, which features a ½-pound patty perfectly seasoned and dressed, is a customer favorite.

In addition to a menu that’s practically overflowing with choices, the eatery features blue plate specials during the week.

Part of what makes the food so good is the fact that it’s all made using “the best and freshest, never frozen, ingredients.” From the appetizers to the desserts and everything in between – it’s all made on site.
