This 1916 Catholic church that was visited and blessed by St. Pope John Paul II during World Youth Day in 1993. Though the inside is currently closed due to a devastating fire, the Chapel is still worth visiting for both its intricate exterior and jaw-dropping setting. Named one of TripAdvisor’s “Top 10 Things to Do in United States,” the Garden of the Gods is made up of red rock formations comprised of deposited red, pink and white sandstone, conglomerate, and limestone that were created millions of years ago during a geological upheaval, making for a unique place to stroll, hike, or drive.
